Coffee Cake Muffins

1/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1 t. ground cinnamon
1 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup sugar
2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt
1 egg
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil

GLAZE:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1 T. milk
1 t. vanilla

In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, pecans, and cinnamon.  In another bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.  In another bowl, beat the egg, milk, and oil.  Stir into dry ingredients just until moistened.  Spoon 1 T. batter into lined muffin cups.  Top each with 1 teaspoon of nut mixture and about 2 more T. of batter.  Sprinkle with the remaining nut mixture.

Bake at 400 for 22-24 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.  Cool for 5 minutes before removing from pan to wire rack.  Combine glaze ingredients and drizzle over muffins.  Makes 12.
